About me
I am from Bhamuria village in Purulia district, West Bengal, where I was born and raised. I completed my early schooling at Bhamuria S.M. High School, followed by Higher Secondary studies at Parbelia Colliery High School. I earned my bachelor’s degree from Raghunathpur College under Burdwan University, after which I moved to Kolkata for my master’s studies at Narendrapur RKMRC College, affiliated with the University of Calcutta. I later completed my PhD at the University of Calcutta.
My passion for astrophysics and astrochemistry drives me to explore the mysteries of the universe. As a researcher, I have dedicated years to analyzing multi-wavelength observations—from radio, millimeter, and submillimeter wavelengths to infrared—alongside astrochemical simulations to detect molecules and study their distribution, formation, and evolution across different stages of the stellar life cycle. My research aims to understand how these molecules trace the physical and chemical conditions of diverse cosmic environments.
I am always eager to take on new challenges and to collaborate with both professional and amateur astronomers who share a deep curiosity about the Universe.
